Wrinkle Relaxation

(aka botox)

Will my face look unnatural and will people know I have had wrinkle relaxation treatment?

You can expect subtle changes to the appearance of your wrinkles. Overall, the goal is to achieve a natural result without looking too frozen and without restricting the natural movement of your face too much.

Wrinkle relaxation works by restricting the movement of the muscles that create fine lines and wrinkles. These are most commonly on the forehead, between the eyebrows, around the eyes including 'crows feet' and around the mouth including 'smokers lines'

How long does it take for the results to show and how long do they last?

Results usually start from day 3-5 but can take up to 14 days to take FULL effect. Typically results will last from 3-6 months but it's impossible to give an accurate timescale as every person is different. Some clients choose to come in more frequently for 'top ups' to make sure the product doesn't fully wear off and for the overall appearance to remain more consistent. As time goes on the muscles will regain their full range of movement and the wrinkles will reappear. I'm afraid the results won't last forever but top ups are quick and easy!!

Does it hurt?

Overall I would say no, it's definitely more discomfort than pain. Most people have had an injection of some sort in their lives and a wrinkle relaxation treatment will feel no different. The product itself doesn't hurt but you will feel the needle which is to be expected. You can choose to have an anaesthetic cream applied to the area in order to help you feel more comfortable. There really is no need to worry- the treatment is over in a flash. The number of separate application sites will depend on the area you are having the treatment and the amount of the product used.

Note: Men's muscles tend to be stronger than women's, therefore, requires more product to restrict the movement for the desired result.
